PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Providence Surgery Center, Mt. Juliet, TN

Overview: Providence Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center in Mt. Juliet, TN, is seeking a skilled PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art surgical environment with a focus on patient-centered care. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring all necessary procedures and protocols are followed.
  • Monitor patients post-operatively in the PACU, providing specialized nursing care and managing pain and discomfort.
  • Assess patient recovery and readiness for discharge, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.

Required Skills:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 2 years' of experience in preoperative and/or post-anesthesia care, preferably in a surgical setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
